Carpet-Saving Secrets

I am constantly saving other people’s carpets by introducing them to this AWESOME product!
Many professional cleaners are familiar with the Don Aslett cleaning supplies brand, but too few homeowners know about his great stuff because you can’t find it at Wal-Mart. Just another reason y’all need to get out and shop the little guy, people!
But seriously, [...]

Abandoned Babies

My heart breaks whenever I read about the abandoning of tiny babies who are born alive after failed ”induced birth abortions,” then left in a closet or disposal receptacle to die all alone with no medical care; abandoned and alone until they pass away, thereby completing the abortion process.
Even scarier: Barack Obama has voted repeatedly against an act that would help these babies [...]

Deceptively Delicious Muffins

This morning for a quick breakfast my children enjoyed these delicious peanut butter banana muffins.  I got the recipe from the book Deceptively Delicious: Simple Secrets to Get Your Kids Eating Good Food.
These muffins had cauliflower hidden in the batter.  Here is how it works:

The Stay At Home Mom’s Paycheck

Thank you, Salary.com for calculating (at least partially) what the work of a stay-at-home mom is worth!  And this salary doesn’t include the benefits; benefits that include the feel of a little one in my arms, the little “I love mommy” pictures they draw for me, or the sticky little kisses that keep me going [...]

Time to LOVE Housework!

Several months ago I wrote a post that shared my epiphany about Falling in Love With Housework.  Today, I realized that I forgot to include one very important aspect of daily life that will do more to help me love my homemaking tasks than any how-to or self-help book!

I wish I could put into words the inspiring, even [...]

Organizing Time!

Check out these photos!  I spent some time organizing today and want to share what I did:
First, we have the kids’ game cupboard which has been a mess since holiday visitors and their children descended upon our home almost daily for a month . . . it was a disastrous mess with pieces, loose cards, [...]

I am so into reading this marvelous book that I simply can’t find time to post something interesting today!  Also because today is Working Mom Wednesday, [...]

Exposing My Addiction

I thought I could hide my addiction, but as you can see from these photos, I’m obviously addicted to books!  We have been T.V. Free for almost four years, and in that time I have been doing a lot of reading.  At birthdays, Christmas, and Mother’s Day, all I ever ask for are books!
First, I [...]
